To help IT Professionals grow in their career and help them make meaningful connections with other IT Professionals. 

WHAT ARE YOUR HOPES FOR AITP IN THE FIRST YEAR

I hope that our membership grows quickly and that we provide valuable and fun learning and networking opportunities. 

If you could invent one piece of futuristic tech tomorrow, what would it be and why?

A portal generator that can connect any two points on the planet and allow for instantaneous travel. Maybe then I wouldn’t always feel like I’m running late. 😊

What’s your most “unplugged” hobby that has nothing to do with technology?

I don’t have any truly technology-free hobbies. I love to read and do it on a Kindle Paperwhite. I play Dungeons & Dragons and other Tabletop Roleplaying Games (TTRPGS) using a Virtual Table Top (VTT). Even when I’m outdoors hiking or biking, I have my wearable devices tracking my route and health. 

Which sci-fi character (movie, show, or book) do you most relate to—or secretly wish you could be?

Gandalf the Grey, later known as Gandalf the White, from The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. He has immense power yet rarely uses it. Instead, he uses his wisdom and knowledge to guide those around him to achieve greatness. What a great leadership style! And, of course, because... magic!

What’s the quirkiest item on your desk or in your workspace right now?

I have a metal placard depicting the “phases of the Death Star.”

If our association had a theme song, what would you nominate and why?

Imagine Dragons – “Whatever It Takes” – Cause I, too, love the adrenaline in my veins and how it feels when I break the chains. Also, who better to represent us than a group of Las Vegans?
